Sue Malkin studied at Leeds University (BA Hons. Fine Art), developing a strong interest in figurative work.
Following a career in art education in the UK, a move to the Rhone-Alpes region of France gave her opportunities for exhibiting, for which she gained many awards, including Grand Prix, Medaille D'Or, and 3rd Prize in the Portrait/Nude category in Artistes et Techniques National review.
After returning to the UK, she has exhibited almost continuously in solo, shared and group shows in public and private galleries.
She now lives in Northumberland, and is a member of the Network Artists North-East.
